Preserving the Harvest

We are excited to invite you to a Preserving the Harvest class on Saturday, August 30th, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Our instructor and church member, Wendy Smith, will share practical ways to make the most of your harvest, including:

  • Simple freezing
  • Canning
  • Freeze drying
  • Dehydrating
  • Fermenting

Wendy will bring equipment to demonstrate each method. The class runs about two hours, with time for discussion and questions. At the end, you’ll get to enjoy delicious treats from her pantry on their farm in Meridian.
